The Info Unit is responsible for responding to requests for assistance received online, publishing current, official, and truthful information about the assistance available in Moldova, and monitoring and moderating the activity of the first and largest aid group for Ukrainian refugees in Moldova – Ukrainian Assistance in Moldova.

The Info Unit was created in July 2022. The main mission is to provide quick and accurate answers to the questions of displaced people using social media platforms.

The InfoUnit monitors and interacts with the refugee and local communities through the Facebook group ‘Ajutor Ucraineni în Moldova’ (Ukrainians Assistance in Moldova), which has 99,300 active members, as well as through more than 22 informational platforms. With a three-person team at the moment, our information unit ensures that every question and concern is addressed effectively.

The InfoUnit team collaborates closely with the actors involved in the management of the refugee crisis in Moldova, and we report the relevant information to the relevant authorities or organizations.

In addition, InfoUnit works in collaboration with the dopomoga.gov.md and dopomoha.md teams, contributing to updates and recommendations to ensure full coverage of the needs of Ukrainian refugees.

The purpose of the InfoUnit is to ensure that Ukrainian refugees and affected populations in Moldova have access to accurate and timely information about their rights, obligations, services, and opportunities.

The InfoUnit was created by PO ‘Laolaltă’ for the ‘Moldova for Peace’ initiative, with the support of UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency.
